Renewable Energy Policies

5th Newsletter is online!

We are pleased to present you our fifth newsletter, this time we wanted to dedicate it to energy policies, as RES Community begins its phase of policy recommendations. The aim of this edition is to share some of our thoughts about the current state of energy policies in the Med area and about the recent 2050 EU Strategy Vision “A Clean Planet for All” presented last 28th of November by the European Commission.

The objective is to see how Mediterranean area can take this as an opportunity to boost renewable energy policies with a wider perspective of territorial dynamics. Regarding to the latest activities of our Community during this last autumn, we must highlight an intensive events agenda, started on October with Energy Buildings and Renewable Energy Communities Conference in Ljubljana. Later during November, RES Community was present at Ecomondo in Rimini, Smart Cities Expo World Congress in Barcelona and fnally at Pollutec Expo in Lyon.

All of them represent an important step forward in the promotion of Interreg MED Projects, in strengthen synergies between communities as well as enlargement of potential networking. Most of this events were organized in collaboration with other MED Communities, which proves the fact that joint initiatives can achieved not only the impact on a wider number of people and entities but also the promotion of Mediterranean sustainability through an integrated philosophy of our territories. We must say, we feel very satisfed with the results obtained and grateful to all partners and participants involved. For us, this year ends with an optimistic perspective for next 2019, motivated to continue with all our effort and inspiration for this special project.

On behalf of Renewable Energy Community, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
